This by far has been my greatest purchase for my pup. I highly recommend this. I have never used the shock option, I’ve never had to. My pup is pretty well trained, she just wasn’t listening and need a re-direction. This did the trick. Make sure it’s not too tight, when I first put it on, it was so snug that the shut off button that is located on the bottom of the collar shut off. Make sure you can fit at least two fingers around the collar and your pup. This was a game-changer for us. The only complaint I have is there is only one charger and you have to charge both the remote and collar. Once charged though, you can shut the remote off for the night and leave the collar charging. The battery holds a good charge, I can use this pretty much all day. My pup is a fast learner and I’m using this less and less each day.

This company is very easy to deal with and provides excellent customer service. The training collar is well made and very solid. Controls are positioned well and easy to use. Charging is easy and battery life is long. The beep setting is loud so the dog can easily hear it. The vibrate setting works well when the dog ignores the first warning beep. It is nice to have 16 levels for the shock setting, but I have only had to use up to level 6. Two things I am not happy about, the mirror display is impossible to see in daylight, it is only visible in normal room light. This is important as you cannot tell what level the shock is set to if you are outside. Second, the handset and collar require you to turn off both separately. It would be nice if by shutting off the handset it automatically shut off the collar. It is more of an inconvenience for me having to shut off two units. Other than these two problems we are happy with our purchase and would definitely consider purchasing the same collar when the time comes.

This collar has great range. We sometimes take our pooch on our lake and we don’t have to worry about him getting too far away. The remote is very easy to use. The shock having 16 levels is much easier to use than one with 100 levels, although I have yet to use the shock with our dog. I did try it on my hand and found that level 8 should be enough to curb behavior but not so high as to cause too much anxiety for the dog. I like that the buzzer is activated with each function. That way I was able to quickly move from buzz and vibration to just buzz. If I was to have one more option on this unit, it would be to have variable levels on the vibration function.Within one short walk my pup was obediently heeling by my side rather than pulling on the leash.

I’ll start by saying that I’ve had dogs my whole life but never a husky shepherd mix… well that being said, I had no idea how strong the prey drive and complete stubborn nature is in this particular breed. She’s 10 months, huge and has an affinity for going after our 2 cats and terrorizing my elderly dog.I bought this collar as a last ditch effort to be able to keep her. We were considering finding a more suitable home for her as we just couldn’t get these bad habits under control.I normally don’t put reviews unless I’m blown away by a product and I have to say I am! Walking with my dogs has become tolerable again! My little jerk responds most times to the noise setting.. I’ve had to use the vibrate only a handful of times, it was enough to get her attention back on me and off whatever woodland creature she was plotting to attack. So far I haven’t used the shock (other than on myself naturally, I shocked myself at 4 and thought my hand would never stop being mad at me)She comes on command now and the beep is usually enough!! If you have a stubborn dog, this is for you!! I’m so thankful!! I highly recommend this as it’s also rechargeable and waterproof

I would like to first give highest marks to customer service. A concern I initially had with the remote was promptly resolved to my satisfaction. The collar is an important tool for me because I am dealing with a 125 lb dog. I strongly recommend the PatPet product to assist in properly training a dog. I would emphasize that I believe it’s important to seek professional guidance from a trained professional in order to use this tool properly and safely. In doing so I am now much more comfortable that my dog will be far less reactive to other dogs and much easier to handle when temptation presents itself. I recommend the PatPet collar to do the job.

Really happy I got this. Not happy I didn’t grab the combo with 2 collars. Almost think I should return and get the double as I have an old dog that could benefit from this. Switch back and forth with a toggle on the side. This is a very handy tool if you have the timing down!!!

Our pooch had escalating reactivity issues around humans & other animals we’d encounter while out and about. We found that the “beep” setting did little to nothing. With that being said, the “vibrate” setting has CHANGED OUR LIVES for the better. If you can catch the behaviour BEFORE it starts with a quick vibrate and “NO” verbal cue, your pooch will get in line (if you can pair their good behaviour with a little treat during training, he’ll appreciate the praise for the good work, otherwise they just think “damned if I do, damned if I don’t”.He now walks politely next to us on our promenades and is almost an entirely different dog (for the better).Vibrate + command, treat, rinse repeat = anxiety free (and safer) walks for everyone! Not to mention this design is one of the best out there, super low profile and “modern”. Hardly noticeable in comparison to the bulky options that look like walkie talkies.

This e-collar is amazing! I’ve been using it daily over the summer even while my dog swam at the beach. The remote is light, fits in my hand and with the wrist strap it’s easy to carry. The device is well made and once charged lasts for at least a week. The sound is loud enough to get your dog’s attention and the vibration is subtle but works. I’ve only used the shock once and the behaviour stopped immediately and I haven’t had to use it again. The light colour is perfect as it blends with my dog’s fur. All in all it’s money well spent!

My silly 8-month old is very smart. He knows when he swims to the other side of the river we can’t follow and he will not recall to his name. He knows all the commands at this point but chooses when to comply. This collar has changed all that. On the first day he learned that I am the “God of Dogs” and must return when he’s called, even if he’s on the other side of the river. He learned it right away without ever having to use shock. The vibration alone freaks him out so no shock has been necessary. I have been careful not to use vibration when he is anywhere close to me so he has learned rather quickly to “come with me if you want to live” and doesn’t wander off and fail to return when called. With countless animals trained, I recommend this device and so does my cat who appreciates the dog no longer chasing him… Nobody, not even my cat, wants to see the dog shocked so you will appreciate the “no shock” options which can be quite effective.
