HOW TO ADOPT | Kitten Sanctuary Singapore

Be prepared to fall in love with our cats and kittens at the Sanctuary where you can interact freely with over 20 sociable and litter box trained beauties. It is best to pick your cat after interacting with it and not through photos. Once your home is cat safe and approved, visit us to choose the purrfect one for you!

Before you start, get your whole family ready for a lifestyle change and to welcome a new family member for life.

Kindly be aware that you should keep your cat strictly indoor as cats that roam are picked up by the authorities and are often euthanized. They may also get Feline Aids and Leukemia if scratched or bitten by an infected cat or die from accidents.

​1. Careful consideration for lifestyle changes including safety measures for the cat; initial setup costs, monthly and medical bills for 15 years; daily cleaning, cat care and grooming.

 

2. Lifelong Commitment – Please read the Adoption Contract and then fill in the adoption form.  Adoption fee for kittens $80, pedigree kittens $150.

 

3. Kindly note that adopters must be minimum of 25 years of age, employed and own a home or have a 2 year lease. Only the legal home owner or renter should fill the adoption form.

4. Cat proof your home, WhatsApp photos of the safety measures you, your handyman or your contractor installed to +65 9126 7379.

   NOTE:  Cat Adoption Applications are ONLY processed on weekends by our volunteers.  Please be patient with us to review and get back to you.

   Photos of all cat proofing measures installed on ALL windows submitted must be:

   1. Clear and bright

   2. Show all the windows of that area, not just 1 panel

   3. Must not be obstructed by curtains, blinds or furniture

   4. Must be clearly labelled (e.g. Living Room, Master Bedroom, Master Bathroom, Balcony, Service Yard, Front Gate etc.)

   These photos will not be accepted:

   1. Windows half meshed

   2. Photos not showing entire window

   3. Curtains blocking the window

   4. Dark and unclear photos

 

5.Book a visit to spend time with 20 kitties under one roof!

(Those who have completed Steps 1 to 5 will be invited back to spend more time with the kitties to make your final selection for the purrfect addition to your family.)

6. You will be sent a list of food and supplies needed for the specific cat or kitten you have selected.

  *NOTE – Only buy the food and supplies once you have received this list from us.

  You will also need to set up a sanctuary room in preparation for your cat’s arrival. Cats are territorial. A sanctuary room is a small area to first introduce your cat to its new home and to build a close bond by feeding and interaction. It is also for litter box training.

  Once completed, send photos of the food, supplies and the sanctuary room via WhatsApp to +65 9126 7379

 

7.When sanctuary room is ready and all food and supplies have been bought, we will arrange a day and time for pick up.
